This is a big step up from the &#8216;keck keck&#8217; sounds I was getting in the first few days. When giving him treats, instead of holding it near his mouth I put it on my palm or wrist so he has to climb on me. He is also letting me pat him now! Ohhhhhhh he&#8217;s so soft. I can&#8217;t wait until I can have him on my lap and watch T.V.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.missdraper.com\/images\/chinchilla_litter.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" align=\"absmiddle\" \/> <\/p>\n<p>Last week we also introduced a litter box so our wee man is potty training. Everyday I have to scoop all his poop into the litter box. At the end of the day I have to pick out the poop and leave a few fresh ones. With a lot of patience he&#8217;ll get there&#8230;I hope!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;I can&#8217;t wait to let him out of the cage to exercise in the spare room but I&#8217;m scared we wont be able to catch him. I&#8217;m not quite sure how long I should wait to let him out for the first time.
